William Becker Bowers ’67

William Becker Bowers ’67 passed away peacefully after a brief illness at his home in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, on October 27, 2023, with his family by his side. Born in Battle Creek, Michigan, Bill came to the College from the Hill School and majored in English. After receiving his commission from Navy ROTC upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1970. Bill received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1973 and spent his career with the Educational Testing Service, where he held many senior roles for more than 30 years until retirement. He had an insatiable quest for knowledge, enjoyed listening to classical music, and loved to travel. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn; daughters Devon and Erin; grandchildren Reina and Samantha; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
