G. Bruce Munro ’57

G. Bruce Munro ’57 passed away at his New Haven, Connecticut, home on September 9, 2023. Bruce was a graduate of Hillhouse High in New Haven and Mr. Gunn’s School in Washington, Connecticut. He received his A.B. from Dartmouth and went on to earn his master’s in counseling at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. A gifted craftsman, he enjoyed his work as a cabinet maker. He “had a generous spirit with an extraordinary sense of humor, someone who truly cared about the natural world and strived to make it a better place,” according to the obituary in the New Haven Register. “Above all else, Bruce was a man who lived well, loved well, and gave his light to every person he met.” He is survived by his wife, Lynda, son Angus, daughters Heather and Sarah, and five grandchildren.
