Theodore G. Corsones ’51

Theodore G. Corsones ’51 died on December 5, 2023, in Rutland, Vermont, his lifelong hometown. Ted was an attorney, having attended Boston University’s law school following graduation from Dartmouth and service in the U.S. Army. In his 65-year career in the legal profession he was Rutland County state’s attorney and a Vermont municipal judge before working as a trial lawyer in private practice in Rutland. He also served as general counsel for Shriners Hospitals for more than 25 years. He was active in the Rutland community as president of the county bar association, potentate of Cairo Shriners, grand master of the Vermont Masons, exalted ruler of the Elks Club, town moderator, and member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. For Dartmouth he was an alumni interviewer in Rutland and Naples, Florida, where he and his wife, Christie, who predeceased him, had a second home. Ted was a pilot and flight instructor for many years; he was recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration with its Wright Brothers Master Pilot award. Skiing was another longtime interest; he was an early member of the Otter Ski Patrol at Pico. At Dartmouth Ted was a member of Delta Tau Delta. He is survived by son Cortland ’78.
