John S. Bryan Jr. ’55

John S. Bryan Jr. ’55, M.D., passed away November 4, 2022, in Ottsville, Pennsylvania. Jack combined a distinguished career in medicine with service in the U.S. Air Force. He came to Dartmouth from Princeton High School in Plainsboro, Pennsylvania, and took a premed course of study. He was a member of Kappa Sigma and Air Force ROTC and competed in cross-country track. In 1966 Jack established the first orthopedic practice at the hospital in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. During his career Jack earned fellowships from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Royal Society of Health in London, and the International College of Surgeons in Geneva. His wife, Beverly-Carr, predeceased him. He is survived by children James, John, Kristen, and Timothy.
