Ronald Allen Gold ’54

Ronald Allen Gold ’54 passed away October 3, 2023, in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Ron came to Dartmouth from Heights High School. At Dartmouth he majored in English, was a brother in Pi Lambda Phi, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Ron always valued his years at Dartmouth as the fondest of memories and treasured visits and frequent contacts with his band of Pi Lam brothers, who loved him in return. Ron was among Dartmouth’s most generous alums and a valued supporter of everything Dartmouth. After graduation Ron attended Case Western Reserve Law School and joined the Cleveland Coin Exchange, where he ended up as president. He was known throughout the world as a leader of the industry. Ron was a passionate sports fan, a voracious reader, and a lover of his work, wife, family, friends, and life. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, children Kathryn, Debra Suu, and Abigail; and three grandchildren.
