John S. Bell ’63

John S. Bell ’63 died on April 22 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri; grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and attended Washington Senior High School, where he was active on the swim team. At Dartmouth John majored in mathematics and was a member of the dorm committee and Le Cercle Francais. He attended Dartmouth with his twin, Jim ’63 (recently deceased). After Dartmouth John received an M.S. at Carnegie Mellon University. John was an active Dartmouth volunteer as an admissions interviewer and an officer in his regional club of Worcester, ending up as president in 1996. John spent many years in corporate America in strategic planning, finance, and marketing. He then became a medical practice administrator and organized two state associations for the Medical Practice Administration. He served as president of the American Society of Medical Administrators. John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol, two children, and four grandchildren.
