Irvin A. “Bubba” Levy ’55

Irvin A. “Bubba” Levy ’55 passed away on April 5 in Houston. He is survived by his wife, Gail, and children Heather, Marianne, and Rachael. He was predeceased by son Joseph. Bubba came to Dartmouth from San Jacinto High School in Houston. He majored in history and was a member of Psi Upsilon, Green Key, Air Force ROTC, and Casque & Gauntlet. He also lettered in football and rugby. Chosen for a new program to train flight crews for escape tactics, Bubba completed his service as a first lieutenant in 1959 and began his career with the Houston Corrugated Box Co. He expanded the business to four plants before selling his interest in 2001. Bubba then took over the marketing of the Houston Texans in the NFL.
