Class Note 2007

Happy spring, ’07s! Here we go! Miles Yourman started his M.B.A. at Columbia University in January and is excited to see all his New York Dartmouth friends again. Welcome to the city, Miles!

David Zubricki is finishing up his last year at Northwestern Law School and will start his legal career at the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in October in the firm’s restructuring practice. “Recently I had the opportunity to argue an appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. It was part of the work I’ve done with Northwestern’s Bluhm Legal Clinic, where we get to represent civil and criminal appellants.” Congrats, Mr. Webster Jr.—do us proud!

Dax Tejera writes that after five and a half years at NBC News and MSNBC, where he was hired straight out of Dartmouth, he has left to join ABC News in Miami on a new joint venture cable network with Univision. He says there’ll be a lot of commuting between Miami and New York City in the future!

After five years of being inside the matrix—a.k.a. Google (where he was hired straight out of college)—Jacques Hebert left to work as the public affairs manager at Mother Jones magazine, where he is excited to pursue his passion for media and policy by supporting the nonprofit news organization and its reporting.

Ivy Pruss is now happily working as a director’s assistant on Season 3 of Wilfred. “I am also co-writing an indie feature called Glitter City—adapted from a short story my mom, Constance Ford, published in Brain, Child magazine—that I plan to direct next year.” So proud of you, Ivy!

Shirley Ibach sends in this adorable note: “Working on my master’s in English literature at SUNY Fredonia and hanging out with my sweet 2-year-old boy!”

Ruchita Dhawan shares that she and Bart Butler ’06 are getting married this fall in D.C. Congrats, Ruchita!

Jeremy Rohrlich is engaged to Anakija Fostvedt! The wedding will be in Colorado in the spring of 2014. Currently the couple live in Cleveland, Ohio, where Jeremy is entering his third year of medical school at Case Western and Kija works in advancement at the Cleveland Museum of Art. A big congratulations!

Jordan Kutcher is also engaged! She and her fiancé, Justin Grant, moved to Chicago together this past summer and recently “he took me to New Orleans for the weekend to pop the question and the wedding will be next spring in D.C.”! Love it!

John Malanga and Diana Dai Phan got engaged in December! John proposed during a romantic hike with the help of their trusty Labradoodle Marley. They currently live together in Orange County, California, and welcome any visitors! Congrats, guys!

Clara Aranovich writes in that, “Thanks to Nate Pinsley, I was turned onto a new company called Pave, which launched in December and ended up granting me $50,000 for my filmmaking endeavors. With that I’m starting to raise funds for my first feature film, which is both exciting and excruciating. I’ve otherwise been writing and producing various things and most recently had some of my photos of Frank Ocean featured in The Fader, which was neat.” Love the Dartmouth connection! And the $50,000!

Brittany Henry also offers a story of incredible Dartmouth connectedness during her recent trip to Hanover as the vice president of the Dartmouth Club of Los Angeles, but because of our word limit in DAM, you’ll be getting that full story in an e-mail right about the time you’ll be reading this!

Til next time, cheers!
