Richard J. Roth ’58

Richard J. Roth ’58, Tu’59, died peacefully on December 10, 2020. Born in Yonkers, he lived in New York City most of his life. At Dartmouth Dick majored in economics and was a Gamma Delt and advertising manager of The Daily D. After completing his M.B.A. at Tuck, he served in the Air Force Reserve and lived in Europe for several years. Returning to New York, Dick had a long, storied career in advertising, founded Roth Associates in 1988, broke new ground in the media industry, and traveled the world for his clients. Dick was also a tireless agent for the Dartmouth alumni fund. Dick once said, “One thing the world can benefit from is listening more and talking less.” He is survived by his wife, Leslie, and three sons.
