Robert H. Rudolph ’58
Robert H. Rudolph ’58, M.D., died unexpectedly on February 6, 2021, in Seattle. Bob grew up in Pittsburgh, majored in chemistry, was a debater and member of Alpha Theta, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. After med school at Penn, he moved to Seattle and became one of the two first oncologists in the city. Bob was part of the team that pioneered bone marrow transplantation in animals and then in humans. He was a clinical professor at the University of Washington and published 43 peer-reviewed articles in medical journals. Bob and his wife, Beth, were regular participants at the Pacific Northwest alumni seminar weekends in the 1980s and 1990s.
