Gerald M. Polin ’58

Gerald M. Polin ’58, M.D., died May 21, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Jerry grew up in Philadelphia and left Dartmouth in 1957 to attend Jefferson Medical College. He specialized in child psychiatry and served two years in the Navy at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. He worked in child psychiatry in Maryland; Richmond, Virginia; and then in Tulsa, where he was chairman of child and adolescent psychiatry at Laureate Psychiatric Hospital. Jerry was a big fan of jazz music. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, a son, and a daughter.
