Peter A. Greenfield ’55

Peter A. Greenfield ’55 passed away on January 16 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Caroline, and children John, Deborah Ann, Kim, and Kyle. Pete was raised in Riverdale, New York, and came to Dartmouth from the Horace Mann School. He majored in economics and was active in the Dartmouth Christian Union. In 1961 he earned a master’s of sacred theology from the Philadelphia Divinity School and entered the Episcopalian priesthood. After serving in several parish churches, Pete was named canon of St. Mark’s Church in Lewiston, Pennsylvania, in 1979. He became involved in outreach concerns within the community and was coordinator of the World Hunger Association in central Pennsylvania. Pete was an active alumni supporter. He received the Class of 1955 Award in 2012.
