Weymoth T. Crowell ’73

Weymoth T. Crowell ’73 died on July 17 after cardiac arrest following surgery at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi. He came to Dartmouth from Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama. At the College he majored in music and played football as a defensive back all four years. Weymoth was a tutor in the Tucker Foundation’s A Better Chance program. He was a member of Tabard and Casque & Gauntlet. After graduation Weymoth earned a medical degree at the School of Medicine of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he became a member of Omega Psi Phi. In his medical practice he specialized in anatomic pathology and in family medicine. At the time of his death Weymoth was a physician at the Coastal Family Health Center in Saucier, Mississippi, and on the staff of the Digestive Health Center in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was predeceased by his spouse of 26 years, Peggy. He is survived by son Weymoth, daughter Marva, grandson Austin, and sister Lonya.
