John Craig Hausman Jr. ’52

John Craig Hausman Jr. ’52 passed away in San Diego on May 6, 2017, the College recently learned. Craig came to Dartmouth after graduating from Camp Hill (Pennsylvania) High School. He had a distinguished record at Dartmouth, graduating in the Tuck-Thayer five-year program as a Rufus Choate scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa. Craig was also a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. After graduation, Craig served in the U.S. Army for two years and then spent his entire career in a variety of management positions with the Ford Motor Co., mostly in Michigan. He retired as vice president of personnel in 1994 and with his wife, Lois, settled in San Diego. They were married for almost 60 years and raised children Andrew, Douglas, John, and Kristen. They all survive, along with a number of grandchildren.
