Peter W. Packard ’55

Peter W. Packard ’55 died on January 14 in Topeka, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Betsy; sons Jonathan, Christopher, and Steven; and daughters Alexandra, Josephine, and Lisa. Born in Medford, Massachusetts, David came to Dartmouth from Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He majored in philosophy, competed on the freshman crew, and was a member of Air Force ROTC. After graduation David spent eight years in the Air Force. While on duty in Topeka he completed an M.S. in social work at the University of Kansas in 1964. David served as secretary and treasurer of the Dartmouth Club of Maine and an alumni interviewer for admissions.
