Bruce C. Newman ’55

Bruce C. Newman ’55 passed away in Denver on November 18, 2020. He is survived by Georgia, his wife of 67 years, daughter Denise, son Greg, and grandchildren Carol, Rebecca, Sarah, and Joshua. Bruce came to Dartmouth from North High School in Denver and majored in mathematics. After graduation he joined the Air Force and flew two years with the 63rd Air Rescue Squadron at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, California. Returning to Denver after completing his service, Bruce became a municipal bond trader for Boettcher and Co. In 1979 he founded Newman Associates, a broker-dealer specializing in tax-exempt bonds.
