Lynmar Brock Jr. ’55

Lynmar Brock Jr. ’55 passed away on December 17, 2020, at his home in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. He is survived by Claudie, his wife of 57 years, and sons Christopher ’87 and Andrew. Lyn came to Dartmouth from Haverford High School in Newtown when he was 17. He majored in English and was a member of Alpha Theta, the Undergraduate Council, and Green Key. Lyn earned an M.B.A. from Tuck before qualifying for naval officer candidate school. He left active duty as a first lieutenant. Lyn joined Brock and Co., his father’s catering company, and served 45 years as CEO. Through his leadership in Rotary, Lyn gained an international reputation as chairman of its committee for Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
