Philip James Quigley ’63
Philip James Quigley ’63 died on October 8, 2020, in Troy, Michigan, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Jim was born on February 16, 1942, in New York City. He attended Damelin College, where he played rugby. At Dartmouth Jim majored in economics, played rugby all four years, and was a member of the Outing Club, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Dragon. He went on to Tuck, graduating in 1965, and enjoyed a long career in advertising, in part with Ross Roy Advertising. He worked in New York City, Atlanta, and finally Detroit, where he retired. Jim was a lifetime lover of all things sports and spent much of his retirement at the Club Ibis in West Palm Beach, Florida, doing what he loved best: hitting the links with the guys. He is survived by his partner, Kathleen, three children, two stepchildren, and 11 grandchildren.
