John T. Dinan Jr. ’55
John T. Dinan Jr. ’55, M.D., died September 26, 2020, in Scarborough, Maine. He is survived by daughter Shannon and sons John III and Michael. John came to Dartmouth from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He majored in chemistry-biology and was a member of Sigma Nu, Green Key, and the Dartmouth Outing Club. After graduation he earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan. John began his medical career in Portland, Maine, before going on active duty with the Navy in 1962. He served mostly aboard aircraft carriers and retired in 2003 with the rank of captain. Active in alumni affairs, John served as class secretary before his passing.
