John Dell Isola ’55

John Dell Isola ’55 passed away on September 16, 2020, in Boston. At Dartmouth John majored in English, played three years of varsity football, and was a member of Kappa Sigma and Sphinx. He also joined Air Force ROTC, which provided the basis for his career in aviation. John served in the Air Force as a bomber pilot for the Strategic Air Command. In 1965 he joined TWA as a commercial airline pilot, retiring as one of the most esteemed pilots of his era. John is survived by children Kathleen, John Patrick, Robert, and Patti. His wife, Patty, predeceased him in 2012.
