David B. Heegaard ’55

David B. Heegaard ’55 passed away on August 13 in Wayzata, Minnesota. David was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Joanne. He is survived by his son, Frank, and his daughters, Debbie and Laurie. David came to Dartmouth from Blake High School in Minneapolis. He majored in economics and was a member of Alpha Delta Phi and Dragon. After completing his Army service as a lieutenant in ordnance, David became a marketing manager for Honeywell from 1957 to 1967. He then completed his career as president of Standard Solvent Co. in Minneapolis. David was a lifetime supporter of the Dartmouth Alumni Fund. He served as class agent in 1987 and from 2004 to 2020.
