Willard E. Jones ’51

Willard E. Jones ’51 died on February 3, 2014, the College recently learned. At the time of his death Will lived in Leesburg, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, three children, three grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. Will grew up down the road from Hanover in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. He left Dartmouth before graduating and later received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. He spent his entire 40-year business career as a computer systems engineer with Travelers Insurance Company in Connecticut. Will had a lifelong passion for knowledge and learning, as well as an enduring love of music; he played the violin from an early age. He is especially remembered for his gentle, compassionate spirit and as a generous helper of those in need.
