Julia Richman ’04 has been named the chief strategy officer for the State of Colorado Office of Information Technology in Denver. Richman, the former chief technology officer for the city of Boulder, Colorado, most recently helped more than 10,000 state workers shift to remote work.

Three alumni have earned social justice awards from the College. Angela Zhang ’12, the program director at the Upper Valley social services organization LISTEN Community Services, received the Emerging Leadership Award. Rachel Solotaroff, DMS’01, received the Ongoing Commitment Award for her leadership as president and CEO of Central City Concern, which provides affordable healthcare and housing in Portland, Oregon. And Bruce Fredrickson ’73 received the Lester B. Granger ’18 Award for Lifetime Achievement for his 43-year career as a labor, discrimination, and civil rights lawyer. He was named the 2020 Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice and the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association after winning a record-breaking $590-million settlement against the federal government in Hartman v. Albright.

Jetti Gibson ’05 has joined the national security law division of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as its international attorney. She recently left the active duty component of the U.S. Navy JAG Corps, after serving for eight years, and is now a lieutenant commander in the Reserves.

Shaun Sengupta ’17 is the new chief technologist for the Concours Club, a new $220-million automotive country club being developed between runways of Miami-Opa Locka Airport in Florida. A former member of Dartmouth Formula Racing, Sengupta is involved in business operations and information technology management.

Dylan Kane ’09 is the new squad leader of the U.S. Forest Service’s Prescott Helitack Crew, which provides initial attack and large fire support to the 1.2 million-acre Prescott National Forest in central Arizona. He previously fought wildfires with the Snake River Hotshots in Idaho and the Central Oregon Rappellers.
