Stuart L. Yunis ’55

Stuart L. Yunis ’55, M.D., died on March 16, 2013, the College recently learned. A native of Flushing, New York, Stuart came to Dartmouth from Jamaica High School. He took a premed course of study, majoring in chemistry-zoology. He was on the dean’s list and was a member of the Dartmouth Christian Union and the Young Republicans. Stuart earned early admission to SUNY Syracuse Medical School and received his M.D. in 1958. After serving in the Army with the rank of captain, Stuart founded a medical practice in Lake Success, New York. He is survived by his wife, Victoria, and children Jonathan, Miriam, Eileen, and Harvey ’78.
