Board Moves
Three alumni-nominated trustees—Susan Finegan ’85, Odette Harris ’91, and Gregg Lemkau ’91—and one charter trustee—Susan Huang ’84—were elected to the board in March.

New Partnership
The Andrew Mellon Foundation has awarded a $500,000 grant to Dartmouth Library and the Hood Museum, which will use it to bolster connections between them, faculty, students, and people of Native American and indigenous Arctic descent. 

This Ain’t No Disco
Hopes to hold Winter Carnival events inside a giant inflatable “snow dome” on the Green were thwarted when the vendor failed to deliver its 50-foot-diameter bubble. Problems with customs at the U.S.-Canada border forced a planned silent disco to relocate to the Top of the Hop.

Mountain King
The Skiway has a new director. Mark Adamczyk, former director of outdoor adventure at Winter Park Resort in Colorado, started in January.

Gone Too Soon
Executive associate athletic director Brian Austin died of cancer in January. He was 59.

Montgomery Fellow Zia Haider Rahman, author of In the Light of What We Know, spoke to English students on campus in February.
