David M. Corderman ’55

David M. Corderman ’55 passed away on July 3 in Southbury, Connecticut. He spent only one year in Hanover, but had a strong attachment to Dartmouth. Dartmouth relatives include daughter Heide ’96, brother Douglas ’52, and niece Susan ’76 and her husband, Stuart ’75. After his freshman year Dave accepted a commission from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, where he graduated in 1956. While in the Army Dave earned a master’s in computer science from Stanford University. Dave served 11 years, including a year in Vietnam, and rose to the rank of major before leaving the service to enter the computer industry. Dave is survived by his wife, Valerie; children Connie, David Jr., Diane, Thomas, Stephanie, and Heide; and 21 grandchildren.
