Paul R. Bjorklund Jr. ’75

Paul R. Bjorklund Jr. ’75 of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away May 6 following complications from surgery. Born in Texas in 1953, Paul was known as “Tex” to his family and childhood friends. At Dartmouth he was a brother of Zeta Psi and roommates with Lon Cross ’75 in Middle Fayerweather. After graduation Paul pursued his interests in art and architecture at Yale University until he found his energy dwindling due to kidney disease. He returned home to New York, where he found his calling merging graphic design and politics. In 1984 he received a donated kidney, a gift Paul cherished every day for his remaining 35 years. He met and married Pamela Greene, started a family, and delighted in raising their two wonderful children, Erik and Annika. They survive Paul, along with his sister, Kristin ’77. He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Paul ’49 and Virginia. Paul will be remembered as loving, kind, and witty and as a wonderful husband, son, brother, and father who relished every moment with his family.
