Charles Edward Keller ’54

Charles Edward Keller ’54 passed away on April 23 at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Montana. Ed came to Dartmouth from Short Hills, New Jersey, where he attended Millburn High School. At Dartmouth Ed was a philosophy major and served as president of the Dartmouth Christian Society. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. Upon discharge he studied at the Union Theological Seminary from 1956 to 1959. He earned a master’s in guidance and counseling in 1976 at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Ed was ordained to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church in 1959 and served as an assistant at Christ Church at Bloomfield-Glen Ridge, New Jersey, from 1959 to 1962 and then as rector at St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Little Falls, New Jersey, until 1996. In 2010 Ed moved to Montana. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and children Stephen and Madeline.
