William Morton Cohn ’54

William Morton Cohn ’54, M.D., passed away on December 28, 2018, in Shoreline, Washington. Bill came to Dartmouth from New York City, where he attended Bronx High School. At Dartmouth he was a chemistry-zoology major. After graduation he attended NYU Bellevue Medical School, receiving his M.D. in 1958. Bill then served a year of internship and five years of residency, mostly at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and received training as a neurosurgeon. He then entered private practice as a neurologic surgeon in New York City. In 1970 he moved to Seattle and continued his medical practice until retiring in 1992. Bill was a longstanding supporter of classical music in the Seattle area as one of the founding members of the Seattle Chamber Music Society, which he served many years as a board member. He is survived by his daughter, Ginevra.
