Robb S. Alexander ’41

Robb S. Alexander ’41 passed away on May 10, 2010, at his home in Altamont, Utah. Robb was born on January 31, 1920, in Montrose, Colorado. He graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, and from Dartmouth, where he was an economics major and active skier with the Dartmouth Outing Club. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the 71st Infantry Division. Robb served in Europe during World War II and participated in liberating concentration camps in Austria and Germany. He then married Jane Felt in 1951 in Salt Lake City before moving to Ogden, where he managed the Allen Steel Co. Jane passed away in 1981. Robb married Norma Gay Marsing on August 9, 1983. Robb and Norma were avid bridge players and enjoyed nature and traveling. After his work with Allen Steel, Robb worked as a realtor with Froerer Corp. and with Gage Froerer and Associates. He was an admissions volunteer and an Alumni Fund volunteer. Robb is predeceased by sister Lorainne and stepdaughter Vikki. He is survived by Norma; children James, Robb, and John; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
