Matthew B. Carroll ’71

Matthew B. Carroll ’71 died on May 18 at his home in Saratoga Springs, New York. He had a large brain and a big heart; the former he donated to the Harvard brain bank. He is survived by children Alison and Doug and two of his four sisters, Susan and Sara. He was a graduate of Westfield (New Jersey) High School in 1967 and after Dartmouth earned an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1977. Matt worked for pharmaceutical and retail corporations before starting his own businesses, most notably Innovative Cleaning Concepts, a manufacturer of cleaning products that he ran for more than 20 years. He enjoyed playing chess and bridge and invented games, including Riskopoly, while at Dartmouth. Matt, a psychology major, often returned to Dartmouth through fond memories. He attended his 50th reunion and appreciated the massive reunion book.
