Lionel Chaikin ’54

Lionel Chaikin ’54 passed away in Vero Beach, Florida, on November 19, 2021. He came to Dartmouth via Great Neck High School in New York. At Dartmouth he majored in history, was a member and president of Delta Epsilon, and served on the Interfraternity Treasurers Council. He continued his association with Dartmouth as an Alumni Fund volunteer, class agent, admissions volunteer, and alumni interviewer. Lon then went to attend Tuck and later entered the military. He had a successful career in manufacturing and after retirement spent summers in Manchester, Vermont. He spent his retirement years in Hobe Sound and Vero Beach. He is survived by his wife, Marianne; son Karl; daughter Kristina and her husband, Andrew; and grandsons Tate, Teghan, and Tanner.
