Lawrence R. Veator ’55

Lawrence R. Veator ’55 died at his home in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on September 20, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Patti, and children Laura, David, Christopher, and John. Larry came to Dartmouth from Gloucester High School. He majored in economics and was a member of Kappa Sigma, Green Key, and ROTC. He served as a lieutenant in the Army and graduated from Harvard Business School in 1960. After a 28-year career as an executive with W.R. Grace, Larry retired in1988 as president of the Pacific Inter-American division at Grace’s New York City headquarters.
