Knud Eric Engelsted ’78

Knud Eric Engelsted ’78 passed away unexpectedly at his home in Holden, Massachusetts, on September 24, 2013. Eric attended Bancroft School and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy before entering Dartmouth, where he was a member of Psi Upsilon and the Sphinx. Eric was the chair and CEO of Walker Magnetics Group in Worcester, Massachusetts, for more than 24 years. An avid volunteer, he was a trustee at Bancroft School in Worcester and a member of its alumni council, as well as nominating committee chair of the Dartmouth Club of Central Massachusetts. Proud of his Danish heritage, Eric was multilingual and enjoyed travel. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, downhill skiing and sailing. He was a devoted and proud father to his three daughters, twins Katrina and Julia and Isabelle. He also leaves sisters Alexandra, Ellen, Karen and Ingrid, companion Heather and former wife Mary.
