Kim Allen Wehrenberg ’74

Kim Allen Wehrenberg ’74 died unexpectedly on March 23, 2015, in Naperville, Illinois, of complications from a heart attack. Kim grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois, and came to Dartmouth from Hinsdale South High School. At Dartmouth Kim played defensive tackle on the football team, was a stalwart of Smith Hall life, and a member of Beta Theta Pi and the Dragon senior society. After graduating from the College cum laude with a major in government, Kim attended graduate school at the University of Indiana at Bloomington, where he earned a law degree and an M.B.A. Kim worked as a corporate attorney, including serving as general counsel at Federal Signal Corp. in Oak Brook, Illinois, before retiring in 2012 from Portola Packaging in Naperville. Kim was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Naperville. He enjoyed sailing, racquetball, bridge, traveling, and spending time at the family cottage on Lake James in Angola, Indiana. Kim is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Becky”; son Kyle and his wife, Christine; grandchildren Jack and Emily; daughters Brooke ’05 and Kelsey; and brother Andy.
