Kendall Lawrence Strout ’52

Kendall Lawrence Strout ’52 passed away on October 16, 2017, in Maryland, the College recently learned. Ken was born on November 15, 1929, in Massachusetts, graduated from Walpole (Massachusetts) High School and Dartmouth in 1952. He was part of the Thayer School 3-2 program and received his degrees in civil engineering, including a master’s degree in 1953. He then served in the U.S. Army in construction engineering before starting a 41-year career in related engineering responsibilities. Ken and Joan Dunton were married on April 21, 1956, in Maine. Ken and Joan divided their time in retirement between their longtime residence in Maryland and a summer home on Georgetown Island in Maine. Daughters Susan and Linda and their husbands and four grandchildren survive him.
