Josephine Buford Siegfried ’86

Josephine Buford Siegfried ’86 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died on April 5. She graduated from Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School in Wichita, Kansas, and at Dartmouth earned her A.B. in government and was involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma. After college Jo worked as a financial analyst for Salomon Brothers and Brown Brothers Harriman in New York City before moving to Tulsa in 1994 to work as a portfolio manager with Zenith Drilling Corp. In 1999 Jo married Raymond “Tray” Siegfried III, and they had children Ray, Bob, Josie, and Ford. Jo was involved in many philanthropic organizations, where her compassion, intelligence, judiciousness, and financial acumen proved very helpful. She served on the board of trustees of the University of Tulsa and on the boards of the Salvation Army and Monte Cassino School. She had a zeal for language and was opinionated and sharp witted, though she was also a quiet and private person. She is survived by her husband, children, father C. Robert, brother R.C., and sister Anne. Her mother, Martha, predeceased her. Donations in Jo’s memory may be made to Monte Cassino School (www.montecassino.org/gifts-in-memoriam) or Marquette Catholic School (giving.parishsoft.com/app/giving/christthekingcatholic).
