John R. Willets ’63

John R. Willets ’63 died on January 29 at home in Sunset Beach, North Carolina. John was born in Freeport, New York, and graduated from St. Paul’s School in Garden City, New York, where he played baseball and basketball. He graduated with an A.B. from Dartmouth and an M.B.A. from Tuck School. John spent semesters at Dartmouth overseas in Europe, which instilled a love of travel and world history. He was a longtime resident of Freeport and Sunset Beach and was a regional agent for the Dartmouth fund. As an accountant, John spent his career across several different industries, including roles at Philip Morris and Price Waterhouse, and later became a writer for a publisher of legal briefs and texts used by compliance officers and broker dealers. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan, three sons, and 10 grandchildren.
