John M. Coulter Jr. ’58

John M. Coulter Jr. ’58 died of Parkinson’s on August 23, 2020. John was a history major and a member of Psi Upsilon and Dragon. He served in the U.S. Navy reserves and was a gunnery officer on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. After earning his J.D. at Albany Law School, he returned to his hometown of Poughkeepsie, New York, and practiced law in a four-man firm. John has been very active with the class, as a class officer, on several reunion committees, and for the alumni fund. John also was a volunteer with Dartmouth admissions for 30 years. John leaves his wife, Katie, and a daughter.
