James R. Wojcik ’62

James R. Wojcik ’62 passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020, one day shy of his 80th birthday, at Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois. He was born December 24, 1940, the son of Bert Wojcik and Helen Lach. He came to Dartmouth from Chicago in 1958. In 1983 he married Rosemary Rouse and in 1986 welcomed daughter Jana, who was his pride and joy. Jim loved life and above all he loved the Lord. He displayed a selflessness to family and friends, always putting the needs of others above his own. He prioritized his relationships and good company, enjoyed Saturday nights at the horse racetrack, and looked forward to long car rides that allowed for quiet time to pray. His parting words were often “Say a prayer.” He is survived by Rosemary; Jana and husband Tim; siblings Robert, John, William, MaryEllen, and Carolyn; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
