James Edward Thomson ’75

James Edward Thomson ’75 of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on May 18, 2024, at Fairfax Hospital following complications after being struck by a car. Jamie was born in Pensacola, Florida, to James and Mary Thomson on November 16, 1953. After attending Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Jamie attended Dartmouth and then worked for the U.S. Post Office for many years. In his youth he enjoyed playing the guitar and played in the folk Masses at St. Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria. He also enjoyed sports, including tennis and swimming. Jamie was predeceased by his parents; he is survived by his siblings Lawrence, Nancy, and Jeffrey and their spouses as well as many nieces and nephews.
