J. Harrie Hogan ’55

J. Harrie Hogan ’55 died December 23, 2022, in Lakewood, Colorado. He is survived by children Barbara, Ellen, Pamela, Susan, Thomas, Carolyn, Deborah, Laurie, and Rita. Jay grew up in Morristown, New Jersey, and came to Dartmouth from Morristown High School. He majored in sociology and was a member of the Marching Band, Gamma Delta Chi, and ROTC. He served two years as an Army lieutenant stationed in Alaska before earning an M.A. in government from the University of Massachusetts. In 1969 Jay began a 30-year career as a fiscal analyst for the Alaska State Legislature in Juneau. He later lived in Maine, Arizona, and Colorado.
