Ihab L. Saad ’86

Ihab L. Saad ’86 of Virginia Beach, Virginia, died on August 8, 2024, due to complications from advanced Type 2 diabetes. Ihab received his A.B. from Dartmouth in engineering and his B.E. and master’s in engineering from Thayer in 1987. He went on to earn an M.B.A. in 1991 as well as a master’s in international affairs in 1995 from Columbia University. At Dartmouth Ihab was involved in men’s soccer and men’s track and field and cross country. He also participated in the French language study abroad program. He continued his activity as an alumni interviewer for admissions for many years. Ihab was the founder and president of Expert Logic Systems Inc. Additionally, his career involved working as an assistant vice president at Union Bank of Switzerland and as an associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. He was also a financial engineer at Mocatta Metals Corp. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Ihab went to Huntington (New York) High School and lived in Huntington after college. He is survived by sisters Irini and Iris, who say Ihab was a big part of the stories of their lives.
