Harry W. Conarro Jr. ’54

Harry W. Conarro Jr. ’54 died of natural causes December 13, 2024, in his home in Warren, Pennsylvania. He was born in Warren on September 13, 1931, to Eleanor and Harry W. Conarro Sr. Hal was a lifelong resident of Warren and graduated from the Hill School and Dartmouth, where he met Bob Sokolski ’54, who became his business partner at Whirley Drinkworks, which they founded in 1960. On December 22, 1956, Hal married the former Mary Edwards at her home in Hempstead, New York. Hal loved golf and the Conewango Valley Country Club, duplicate bridge (silver life master), racquet sports, telling jokes, and his many dogs. He was a longtime member of the Warren Jaycees. Hal is survived by his wife, Mary; their children Charles, Timothy, Patrick, Alec, and Mary Ann; grandchildren and step-grandchildren Morgan, Alexandra, McKenzie, Charles Jr., Kayla, Kimberly, Kyle, Ian, Madison, Justin, Seth, Courtney, Caitlin, and Luke; and great-grandchildren Grayson, Henry, and Jack. In addition to his parents, Hal was predeceased by sister Eleanor, her husband, Bob, and their children, Matthew and Michael.
