H. William Kramer Jr. ’57

H. William Kramer Jr. ’57 passed away on November 6, 2023. Bill graduated from Kirkwood (Missouri) High School. He was a member of the 3-2 program majoring in economics and earning his M.B.A. at Tuck School in 1958. He was a member of Kappa Sigma. Bill started with IBM, which he said “provided reasonable income and challenges during the growth of the computer age.” Many moves and various sales positions leading to program manager in a 23-year career eventually brought him to Atlanta. In 1978, 20 years out of Tuck, his game plan changed. He and his wife began buying single homes as an investment. Seventeen houses later, he and a partner bought a real estate company and started buying houses for others. Sixty houses later, he listed a major development of more than 200 townhouses to sell to investors and landed squarely in the booming Atlanta real estate market. Kramer Real Estate Services in Roswell, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta), offered a wide range of financial planning, property acquisition, property management, and investment services. In retirement beginning in 2007, his favorite places were the villages and beaches of Carmel, California, and Hilton Head, South Carolina, the culture and music and opera of San Francisco and New York, and sailing. He served the College for many years as an alumni fund volunteer. Bill’s last move was to McAllister, Montana. He is survived by sons Kevin, Scott, and William.
