Gregg L. Goldstrohm ’76

Gregg L. Goldstrohm ’76 of Unity Township, Pennsylvania, died October 15, 2024, in nearby Greensburg. He was born February 12, 1954, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to Robert and Thelma Goldstrohm. He graduated from Lawrenceville and Dartmouth College, where he was premed. Gregg was an orthopedic surgeon in the Pittsburgh area. His medical education was extensive, including receiving his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1980. He did an internship at the University of Hawaii, residency in orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center from 1981 to 1985, and completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Florida in hand surgery. He held medical licenses in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Colorado. He was a life member of the mutual volunteer fire department and volunteered with the 7 Springs ski patrol. In Sanibel, Florida, Gregg was a lifeguard and was active with animal rescue and Feed My Starving Children. He was an avid gardener, cattle farmer, and reader. His greatest joy was traveling with his family. Gregg is survived by his wife, Kimberly; son Christopher; grandson Malachi; and sister Robin.
