Glenn M. Glesmann ’71
Glenn M. Glesmann ’71, M.D., died from a brief illness surrounded by his family on February 16. He was born in New York City on September 17, 1949, the son of Sylvia, who survives, and the late John B. Glesmann. Glenn is also survived by his wife, Deborah; son Richard and his wife, Sarah; daughter Christine and her husband, Darren; grandchildren Caden, Ava, Simon, and Oliver; twin brother Eric and his wife, Molly; and brother Jonathan and his wife, Kim. He also leaves behind dogs Frances and Jonah, which always enjoyed his company. Glenn resided in Wayland, Massachusetts, for 41 years. Prior to that, Glenn received his degree from Dartmouth and then earned his M.D. at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1975. Glenn practiced internal medicine at Newton Wellesley Hospital and then emergency room medicine at Melrose Wakefield Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. Although medicine was Glenn’s profession, his passion was sailing. He earned his license as a U.S. Merchant Marine officer and founded Sailor Dog Charters. Capt. Glenn sailed around Cape Ann, Massachusetts, with family and friends.
