Gerald Martin Flathman Jr. ’54

Gerald Martin Flathman Jr. ’54 passed away on March 7 at the Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. Jerry came to Dartmouth from St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended Dartmouth and then St. Thomas College and graduated from McAllister College. He then graduated from Warburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He served Lutheran parishes in Chadron, Nebraska; Kansas City, Missouri; Rushville and Hay Springs, Nebraska; and Leader, Minnesota. Upon retirement Jerry served several parishes as an interim pastor. He was a biblical scholar and enjoyed sharing his faith. Jerry is survived by his wife, Eleanor, and children Claudia, Kathryn, Marcus, and Jeffrey.
