Eugene P. Stichman ’57

Eugene P. Stichman ’57 died on December 9, 2013, in Washington, D.C. At Dartmouth he majored in psychology. Gene was on the staff of the Jack-O-Lantern and participated in intramural athletics. He went on to receive a graduate degree. While in graduate school he worked for the Army personnel research office, managed education and training research for the Navy bureau of personnel and the Navy advanced development program in education and training research. Gene said that he “never forgot the lessons learned at Dartmouth” and that his experience in Hanover “shaped my entire adult life,” including many years in private industry. He showed his loyalty by serving as class agent for fundraising 1995 to 2002. Gene’s first wife, Ellen, predeceased him. He is survived by his longtime companion, Carol, two children and three grandchildren.
