Edward Lee Storrs ’55

Edward Lee Storrs ’55 died April 16. He came to Dartmouth from Loomis Chafee School in West Hartford, Connecticut. He majored in psychology and was a member of the track team and Sigma Chi. After completing his two-year service with the Army in Germany, Ted returned to West Hartford and married his lifetime partner, Margaret O’Meara. Ted became an expert in government regulations and law in the area of pensions and retirement. After working for Cigna for 10 years, he spent the rest of his career as director of the pension retirement department at United Technologies. Ted was active in the Dartmouth Club of Hartford and enjoyed interviewing prospective students. He was also treasurer of the O’Meara Scholarship Foundation and delivered books to the homebound for the Simsbury Public Library. Ted is survived by Margaret, son Edward Jr., daughters Deborah and Kristen and seven grandchildren.
